At the heart of IUCT’s mission is the belief that when a woman is empowered, an entire community is uplifted. We work with women from lower-income groups, especially those employed in export industries, domestic work, and the informal sector, helping them access training, information, and opportunities that enhance their self-reliance.
Our skill development and livelihood programs provide practical training in tailoring, food processing, handicrafts, and micro-entrepreneurship. We also facilitate linking women to financial literacy sessions and government welfare schemes that encourage savings and entrepreneurship.
Beyond skills, IUCT fosters gender awareness, leadership, and collective action. Through POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) awareness sessions and rights education, we empower women to assert their dignity and safety in workplaces and communities. By helping women gain confidence, voice, and visibility, IUCT ensures they become catalysts for social and economic transformation.
